truthfully I am not sure when the issue happened because lately I have been doing everything via gamecube controller anyway.
The problem: my wiimote won't issue any commands to the wii. I try to click a button and it just blinks the blue lights twice and does nothing. Yes I tried fresh batteries and a different remote.
Background and situation: I softmodded my wii and had been using usbloader to play a couple gamecube games for a while. Then I read about nand emulation and decided I wanted to try out the NMM to ditch my old memory card. To make a virtual nand I found hackmii again and used it to make a new backup of my nand. Tinkered with the emulated version... Thanks to the hackmii my wii would boot to that screen and I could use my gamecube controller to "exit to" homebrew and did this for a week. Then I decided I wanted my wii to boot normally again so I deleted all the hackmii files from my SD card to go back to normal system menu and now discovered that I can't start anything because I can't get the wiimote to work so I could start homebrew or my usblauncher channel.
I need help doing 1 of 2 things, either figuring out how to get the wiimote to work again/what happened to it; or what to put back on SD card so I can use my wii again, maybe start up to the bootmi menu again?
P.S. I deleted the hackmi files from my SD card so I can;t just put them back, also deleted a bunch of stuff from there that I didn't need, so I can't just move it back, need to know what to put on SD card.
other info: in case it's helpful:
I believe I successfully completed the "softmod any wii" guide and as proof I have been playing both gamecube and wii games off the usbloader before this
I deleted the neogamma app from my SD card before (disuse) and primarily use usbloadergx
The virtual nand is stored on my usb stick, and yes I tried booting without it or the SD installed
no I can;t give a syscheck because that requires access to homebrew, can;t click "A" to start any channels
When making the virtual nand I did not change any wads installed to the real nand
